Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Started in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain name extension is the only one planned for personal websites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are popular by. Initially, only 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you planned to buy john.doe.name, you were supposed to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought 3rd-level domains remained active.

Through our firm, you can reserve your .NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will be able to update the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to set up Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an active domain to our company if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the current domain service provider and we will renew it after the transfer has been completed. There are no particular restrictions on who can purchase a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME top-level domain name extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost.
