In case you want to transfer a domain name from one domain registrar to another, you will need a special transfer code, which may be called by various names – an EPP authorization code, an Auth code, a domain name password, and so on. All these names designate the very same thing – a code that the domain name registrant receives from the current domain name registrar and provides to the new one at the time of the order. Without a valid code, a transfer process cannot be started and this is one of the protection mechanisms against unsanctioned transfer attempts used with all gTLD and with most ccTLD extensions. For even greater safety, the code includes digits and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so if you would like to transfer one of your domain names, you have to supply the new registrar company with the correct code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Hosting

You can obtain the EPP transfer code for any domain name that you have registered with us with just several clicks of the mouse from the same Hepsia Control Panel that you’ll use to manage your cloud hosting account. Once you go to the Registered Domains section, you will find all your domain names conveniently listed in alphabetical order. If a certain TLD extension supports transfers between domain registrars with an EPP transfer code, you’ll see an EPP button on the right side of the given domain. If you click on that button, the code will be sent to the email associated with the Registrant contact for the given domain dame. If you wish, you can modify the contact info, including the email, without needing to leave this section of the Control Panel, if the current email isn’t valid any longer.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting

If you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company and you have registered a domain that you wish to transfer, you can get the EPP transfer authorization code astonishingly easy through the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you will administer both your account and your domain names. If you go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll notice an EPP button to the right of your domains, provided that their TLD extensions support transfers between registrar companies with such a code. All codes are sent automatically by our system to the registrant’s email address to ensure that only the owner of the domain name can see this information. In case the current email address isn’t valid anymore, you can edit it with a couple of clicks without having to leave this Control Panel section. The change is instant, so you will be able to request the EPP transfer code for the specific domain name right away.
